In this essay and poem, we explore vulnerability and intimacy.
Vulnerability can not be offered in a relationship until the two people in the relationship create a safe space for self-revelation. Neither party will reveal their authentic selves if a beautiful space is not created through trust, honor, and a real connection.
In interpersonal communication, healthy and fulfilling relationships call for partners to be vulnerable and share intimacy. Intimacy and vulnerability can happen in our relationships when we express our personal needs and understand the needs of others.
