At first, Twitter was a ghost town for me until I learned how to use hashtags. Especially #mediumwriters. You start to feel the Twitter love at about 200 followers and a good 20% being Medium Writers. I’ve had a good 15% to 20% increase in reads come from Twitter.

And I find that sharing other people’s work will help to build your following fairly quickly. Make sure your Twitter account is connected to Medium.
