Being a mom is hard. The closest I came was a few years back. I had my sister's children while she was in the hospital. I had them a few months before school ended, the whole summer and 2 weeks into the new school year due to a bleeding incident my sister had and needed to go back to the hospital. I also had a full client load as a ghostwriter.

I only had a break on Saturdays when my parents would get the children and on Sunday mornings when they would take them to church. Make a long story short, I found doing things outside the house saved me! I joined a weekend walking group (could only go one day) and joined a book club. I'm not a Mom, but that self-care thing isn't a suggestion, it's mandatory.
