Black women are beautiful. And we should embrace our power and beauty in every complexion, size, and shape. I am happy to see a story like this.

So many young black women aren't proud of their curves unless they are shaped like Kim K. Some black women are changing their features to look more European.

And we won't talk about skin bleaching even in other countries like Brazil. We are beautiful, unique, and magnificent. Some of this stems from the fact that young black girls are often told to "stop acting cute."

I understand where this sentiment of "stop acting cute" stems from, but we have to heal from that trauma and let our girls be "pretty" "cute" and "beautiful."
