Both of the females became dancers because of financial difficulties and needing to provide for their children because their exes couldn't or wouldn't. The one male became a dancer because all his female friends told him he should.

I'd rather hangout with a few exotic dancers than some the "so-called" pillars of the community that seem to be doing everything they can to destroy the planet.
