Contemplating Passion and Self-Promotion During a Snow Day In the Village

It’s snowing. The village people are quiet and I’m contemplating “My Year of Passion” and the shame of self-promotion.

Some of my readers and writerly friends here know that I live in an urban vertical village. It’s a high-rise work and living space in a 1.5 million square foot old Sears building.

Inside the vertical village is everything you would have in a normal neighborhood — clinics, schools, restaurants, loft apartments (residential living space), retail spaces, art gallery, theatre, radio station, grocery and deli, salons, and more.

Well, the village is quiet today and the pergolas outside are covered in snow.

No one is skateboarding around the trees but a few of the village people are writing their names in the snow. All the shops, studios, and restaurants are closed. Hey, friends this is Tennessee we’re not used to temps below freezing.
