Do you Appreciate the Simplest Sweetest Moments in Life?

“Okay, you can put that over in that corner,” she directed. “Did you get more burners? We can’t serve cold food.”
“Carmellita, I’m glad you’re here girl,” she said and gave me a quick hug. “Will you please check behind my sister-in-law in the kitchen?” She whispered in my ear.
“What am I checking?” I asked.
“Shhh,” she put her figures to her lip.
I shrugged my shoulders and went to the kitchen thinking, I didn’t come to a baby shower to work. Fortunately, I had nothing to do because the event was catered by professional caterers and her sister-in-law was flirting with one of the caterers.
That afternoon with all the pageantry and overproduction one person could squeeze into a two-hour party, it turned out to be the worst baby shower ever. Why? Because it wasn’t about the Mother-to-be.
But the real baby shower happened later that evening when we all gather at the Mother-to-be’s house. We…
