Fannie, your perspective reminds me of another Fannie who was also an activist, Fannie Lou Hamer. Racism is a sickness and a disease. And yes, it is programming, programming which affects and infects lives. It spreads and it contaminates. It’s passed down from one generation to the next. And even if it seems subtle or even if it has morphed and changed form, it is still there infecting our culture. And no one is better for it.
