I don't think writers on this platform are paying attention to where Medium is going.

Do we realize that there are only 175K writers but somewhere between 85,000,000 to 100,000,000 readers.

Readers don't want to read about how to make money on medium. I've tested it for myself and those articles don't get the kind of engagement we think.

Yes, those type of articles get views, but think about what type of audience you're building. If you wanted to write a book or teach a course someday, would this audience purchase that book or course.

Would the "how to make money on medium" crew even say Hi to you on Instagram, Facebook...

So are you really building an audience?

We're not thinking about the long game. There are some companies Medium has purchased and all the changes here are about to make sense.
