I just found out from a new friend she ended up in Nashville following a guy across country (not another country but to a city where she knew no one). She said it was a big mistake trusting him because he changed. He began taking financial advange of her. I said "he didn't change, he just fired his representative." She still lives in Nashville because she fell in love with the city as she fell out of love with him.

Everything you wrote here is true. I've tried to love someone into a better person. I've tried understanding and being supportive. But when someone is determined to be unhappy, it's not a damn thing you can do about it.
