I love reading poetry just as much as I love writing poetry. However, because of my love for poetry, I want to walk away from a poem inspired, informed, or entertained. Poems degrading women, other people's culture, and glorifying rape don't accomplish either. Instead, it insults the art form and the reader. Thank you for sharing this story Anangsha.
