I never lived with an alcoholic, but I was close to a few. I find that most of the ones who hid bottles were women. The couple of males I knew got away were very overt with their drinking and that's because men aren't scrutinized the same. The old "Guys will be guys." Drinking looks manly until they begin to eff up their lives.
