I think that if Medium chooses this road, then they need curators who understand what quality writing is for each of their main topics. For example, Poetry. Those that curate for this topic should know what quality poetry is. They should have an understanding of meters, devices, etc...Otherwise, Medium will be full of articles on productivity, politics, and the latest news. And a lot of readers won't even know all the other great quality stories written on the platform.
