I truly didn't understand this because when I became involved in dance and cheer it was at a Majority ethnic school. The pressure to be thin wasn't there. Curvy girls were dancers, majorettes and cheerleaders. I never understand until the Misty Copeland an African American Ballet Dancer talked about how she was told she didn't have the "Body Type" for Ballet. She was muscular with feminine curves, breast, a normal body size and type. And then I met someone who can't have children because of all the dieting she did for years as a dancer. It is a problem. But you only wanted to give your daughter an opportunity to do express herself. It's not your fault. With everything you write and share about your journey as a mother, it is more than evident that you want the best for your daughers.
