I was shy about public speaking in high school. Of course I wrote all the time, but I dreaded public speaking until my english lit teacher Mr. Wilson told me if I got over my fear of public speaking I could be dynamic. I remembered that and chose to major in Speech Communication in college. And boy was there a lot of public speaking. I developed a gift of gab that was probably dormant in me the whole time.
