I whole-heartedly agree with your stance here, Rick. If I stood in a room and gave a speech (which I have) and one clap was all I received. Yes, I would be in tears backstage.

But the thing is, no one would do that. Either they would clap or not at all. One clap is designed to be an insult. Now, I know some people aren't aware of the 50 clap max, but some just won't do it.

And it's usually the people rushing to get through "a daily read count."
