Indeed, Maxwell, indeed! What money becomes is the real value. The theme and premise of this article are quite valid at this time. I know so many people re-evaluating how they choose to make money and if they really want to “go back” to the lifestyle they had before. They are re-evaluating their lifestyle and realizing making more money wasn’t getting them what they really want.

For example, I have a friend who earns in the high six figures. Hey, he worked hard to get there. Now, since the pandemic and working from home he’s had time to get back into jewelry making (no one on his job would ever believe this big guy made jewelry). He’s sold a few pieces here and there and he says “the joy from that just doesn’t compare to my job).

Right now, he’d rather give up his $3,500 a month condo and Mercedes and live the life of an artisan. Happiness looks different for all of us. And sometimes we believe just a little bit more money would make us happy.

Similar to the themes in your article, many of us have discovered we want a specific lifestyle, not just money. We want what we want the money to become. It’s a transaction and if the transaction doesn’t pay off with us living the life we want to live, then we experience don’t fulfillment.

Happiness in life doesn’t have a dollar amount.
