After writing and publishing The Ride of Your Life with The Hub Publication, I was so enthusiastic about the response I received from so many of you. Inspiration has that amazing effect, but some days, inspiration can be as fleeting as a summer breeze on a July afternoon in Tennessee.
Still, inspiration is the spark that lights up our imagination and gets us wanting to create. Today, I’ve been pondering ideas about influence and inspiration. Specifically, how do we turn this spark into a real piece of writing and what impact will our words have on our readers?
Bringing an Idea Alive on the Page
Indeed, inspiration is just the beginning. Turning an idea into a fully formed story or article requires a balance of intuition and structure.
Understanding the core of the inspiration is the first step. Through my daily writing habit, I’ve discovered you have to go back to what sparked the idea. What emotions or thoughts were evoked?
