It was easy as a ghostwriter to charge the "going" fee for certain jobs I did. Now, writing under my name with my voice, I do get timid. Do I jump on the 99 cents train with my first ebook? Do I give away shortreads?
Do we have to pay our dues before we can determine our value? I feel I've already paid my dues. I can say this about Kanye. He doesn't undervalue his work. But can I say the same? Honestly, no.
