Living in the bible belt, both Roslyn (my bestie) and I have found great friendships in both. Yes, unfortunately growing up, it was perceived as risky, but good friends are hard to come by.

It's true, going beyond what you think you believe or even what you are taught to believe is risky. That new experience, information, or knowledge can change your whole paradigm. It can provoke you to see your world entirely different.
