Louisiana Creole is a mix of a Caribbean form of French and Haitian Creole. Geechee tribes, Caribbean and Haitians all kind of mixed their vernacular in the past century.

It is very close to French but words are spelled different. For example in French it is bonjour, in Creole it is Bonjou (bun ju).

Now, Cajun is more of a "broken french" as they speak a french close to that of Arcadia (France) and vacillate between English and French.

It all starts to sound the same, though! 🙂
