Of course, systemic racism exists and is a problem. Women of color are often taken advantage of by the dominant culture. I would never undervalue this reality or deflect from it.

However, this story deals with the tendency some people have to judge others and try to control their decisions. For example, a person judging what you choose to do for a living, how you dress, who you date. We don’t have to succumb to those types of pressures. Moreover, we should stay in our lane and not try to pressure others to live how we want them to live.
