Oh, my I know the smell you're talking about. I had a paternal family member who carried that smell most of the time I saw him. He would buy expensive clothes styled from head to toe and expensive colognes. But that smell mixed with the cologne often made me want to gag. And I never hugged him. Never wanted to. Loved him dearly but couldn't hug him.
