Oh, this response was lost in my notifications. So happy I found it. Myriam, it seems that in the last quarter of last year, different types of readers came to Medium. Readers and Writers who wanted to share and have a conversation around stories. I don’t know if Medium specifically targeted such audiences, but it happened regardless.

Now I realize our stories can’t help but evolve into messages because they are becoming a conversation, a discussion. Navigating that process as writers and creators can help us create a community here on Medium in a way other social media platforms cannot.

And I’m with you on engagement. Having others engage with the stories we write is what makes Medium so rewarding.
