Perhaps During this Quarantine, We can Redirect our Energy and Start a Creative Renaissance

We are quarantined. We are really quarantined. And everyone is trying to figure out who predicted the pandemic first, who caused it, and when will the “economy reopen.” People are protesting because they don’t want “government hand-outs; instead, they want to take a chance with their lives and everyone else’s lives so they can “go back to work.”

Oh, it’s madness. Some people see this time as an apocalypse of biblical proportions while others see it as the beginning of Hunger games or a dystopian society.

Still, those of us who dance to the beat of optimism see this as an opportunity for us to redirect our hurt, frustration, and fear and create something new. Perhaps, we will mark this time in history as not only the time of a global crisis and when our entire world was quarantined but the time of our greatest Creative Renaissance.

An Inexhaustible Spatio-Temporal Loop

Can we ask an important question? Before the pandemic known as COVID-19, were there things in our culture we just kept repeating in an inexhaustible loop?

Were we in a space-time loop? Were we all experiencing some type of metaphysical Groundhogs Day long before the pandemic and the quarantine became…
