According the new CEO of Medium, Curation will get a bit tougher in the future to reward higher-quality content.

No specific tag gets distribution. But I would always use big tag topics as well as small tag topic as a combination of tags. For example, if you your story is about balancing your chakras, I would make my first tag "Spirituality" then I would go smaller with "spiritual growth", "chakras" and energu work. Tagging is an experiment all on it's own. 🤔
