Sara, I know what you've been going through. Because I've suffered with Menorrhagia, Endometriosis, and Fibroids, I've been anemic too. I've been vegan/vegetarian for over 20 years now. I feel my best on Living Foods or High Raw diet, but I don't absorb B12 very well or iron. I have to get a B12 shot monthly, I take a supplement called Complement or Ritual. And I still have the problem with Anemia. I can't eat red meat because it hurts my stomach.
My only recourse recently was to use an herb to help shrink fibroids and address the Menorrhagia. The iron caused me to gain weight, but I don't care. I just wanted to breathe and be able to go on long walks again.
It's tough. Getting my hormones balanced is the challenge.
