There's an old saying amongst the elders in Louisiana. They say "Once a man, twice a child." It's the belief that men (and some women) become childlike when they get older. The thing is some children are mild and others are wild. It is difficult when you have to become the caretakers of your older parents. The love is there but it is a challenge.
