This Moment
The evolution of time…
The old paradigm is caught in the illusion of time…
The morning signifies a new day and midnight neglects a day passed
Memories are all that represent the day before
And what is not done remains undone
Eyes closed at the midnight hour and at a blink everything present becomes past
The newness travels the heels of time and creeps on the ankles of every moment ceased
The defining moment was at twilight the moment of regret or elation
We play our roles during the day and try zealously not to miss a beat
Planning each activity and taking careful steps — not to fall — not to stumble
The day does not last forever and the moment is truly all we have
And what is not done remains undone
The scent of nightfall fills our nostrils, as it seems once again we’ve run out of time
Time has no respect for hopes or dreams or passions or desires
Time is, will remain, and will not change not even for God’s favorite creation
At twilight we determine what the day has been and either we emerge in regret or elation…
But still, time moves on
All we have is the moment and we live in the moment
Only just for a moment then the moment is gone
And what…
