According to research conducted by Toni the Talker, everyone’s Sista Offering Support, February 17 is My Way Day. Now, I don’t know about you, but I had no idea there was a My Way Day.

Dang! I wish I had known about it sooner.

Now, you know I’m curious. So I decided I must do a little research on my own to find out how this day began.

How My Way Day Began

Although the complete history has not been documented, what we do know is Thomas and Ruth Roy started My Way Day along with 78 other national holidays. And yes, My Way Day is a national holiday celebrated on February 17th every year.

The day was created to celebrate individuality and to encourage everyone to pursue their own goals, dreams, and ideas, no matter how different they may be from what society typically expects.

My Way Day has become a popular holiday celebrated by people around the world in many different ways. Some people use it to reflect on how far they have come and celebrate their progress, while others use it to set new goals and make plans for the future.

Sounds like a good time to me!
