Two Truths, One Lie Response Story
Are writers great liars? I'm not. I left Easter Eggs all over my stories. Did you find them?
In the fourth story of the 4 Prompts I completed last week, I responded to a fun prompt originated by Lucy Socha while Paul Walker added his take on the game, and Klara Jane Holloway invited me (and everyone!).
The prompt was simple. The prompts involved writing three stories. Two of the stories had to be true, and one of the stories had to be a lie.
I completed the challenge as a part of my story 4 Prompt Invites Become a Test of Skill and Big Magic for My 222nd Story. If you haven't read it, this story won't make sense. I encourage you to read it first, then come back.
Are Writers Great Liars?
Neil Gaiman, an English Author best known for works such as Stardust, American Gods, and Coraline, seems to think writers are liars.
“Writers are liars, my dear, surely you know that by now? And yet, things need not have happened to be true. Tales and dreams are the shadow-truths that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes and forgot.”― Neil Gaiman, Dream Country
