can’t … talk doesn’t mean smiling at strangers and saying good morning or hello. I call that pleasantness. Small talk means when we can’t and (or) don’t extend ourselves to the fullest. We stay in vain.

We don't make real connection if we are not willing to extend ourselves. It is more difficult for introverts to extend themselves, but when they do connect it is with meaning and purpose.
I'm a sucker for genuineness too. 😊
