Wow, that’s an amazing family history. I know that on my father’s side his grandfather was a wealthy man from Trinidad. And my Maternal Grandmother’s Father was from Dominica. He and his brother came to America to help people build Homesteads. He and his brother changed their names to Gardner. We are sure their original names were Marsalis. They both married Creole women they moved to Louisiana.
