Yes, I am pleased about it as well. Different metrics cause different responses. What may pique one person’s curiosity may not pique another. Some people’s curiosity will be piqued by claps even after they click on the story. While others like myself are drawn in by a title, tagline, or lots of comments.

It comes down to what we value. I value a great forum. I value a great story. Someone else may be curious about how to go viral.
