Yes, Jack. You’re right. A lot of this began when “Internet Marketing” gurus got a footing in blogging. At first, they didn’t want to touch it at all. Some even said it was a waste of time. But then when bloggers begin to gain “authority” in the early and mid-2010s, the “Marketers” took over and taught their shady tactics through courses and programs. So many followed these strategies and knocked “Authentic blogs” from the top of the search.
Google would catch on and add an update to the Algo. “Marketers would throw out another tactic and on and on and on.
