Yes, my bestie just had an argument with a colleague who swore homelessness and poverty were a choice in America. She lost her (ish) telling him it's not a choice. Many just don't know what to do, the answer isn't always financial literacy or life skills. It's a great place to start but there are so many reasons why a person or a family becomes homeless.

I really hope all of these people are safe.
