You know, Susan, you’re right. And I have thoughts about why we enjoy conversational-style stories when reading online. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it is more of an effort than picking up a book and turning pages. The phone, tablet, desktop, and laptop don’t necessarily have us in the most comfortable position. Not to mean eye strain. So a dissertation or a lecture just makes it all annoying. But an interesting conversation is relaxing and rewarding.
