Don’t lose sight of your writerly goals.

As I shared with you in Have You Achieved a Goal, But You Can’t See It? we can achieve our goals and not see them because we are focusing on “doing.”

But what if you’ve piled up so many goals you forgot a very important one?

Today, I received this response from Laura Jevtich. She’s a writer here on Medium who reads — a lot. She read as many as 150 stories in a day, highlighted, clapped, and commented. If Medium gave out engagement bonuses, she’d earn at least three.

So, her comment on my story, You See More When You Look Within Before You Look With Out, was among her many. I’m honored. Her comment was:

This entire page looks beautiful. I Like the poetry, the colors, the Canva picture and the words. Thank you!

Laura’s words opened my eyes. Yes, during this 60-Day Writing Challenge, I sit my butt in the chair, write a story, edit, design an image or two, edit again and again, and then I push publish. I am committed to giving my readers the same quality of work I shared when I was publishing 4 times a week.

While I know this challenge can only make me a better writer, I discovered something else for the first time. I am publishing.
